> Austria's first-mover developer of utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS). Blackvolt develops, builds, and operates large-scale battery storage projects across Austria, with a 2,500 MW total portfolio — the highest project maturity in the Austrian BESS market.

Blackvolt Energy GmbH is headquartered in Vienna (Währinger Straße 6-8/11, 1090 Vienna) with a second location in Steyr, Upper Austria. The company covers the full BESS value chain end-to-end: site analysis, land acquisition, feasibility studies, permitting, grid connection, construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations. Operations are managed through the in-house subsidiary Blackvolt Operations and Management GmbH, with technical and commercial delivery via Tier-1 service partners.

The founding team combines investment banking experience (Bear Stearns, UBS, Jefferies, RBC Capital Markets), energy engineering, and M&A — a capital-markets DNA built specifically for bankable infrastructure project structures. Majority owner: Clarence Capital Partners.
